Alessandro Perchiazzi (b.1987) is an Italian documentary photographer based in London and Italy. After years of self-taught photography, he began his academic studies at University of the Arts London in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in 2020. His work often looks at the tensions between individuals and their landscapes, focusing on social and political dynamics. Since 2019 Perchiazzi’s personal work has focused on issues of geopolitics, identity, power and conflict in the Caucasus.
His work ‘In Limbo’ has been awarded the Mead Award in 2020 and the Bramley Studio Grant in 2022.
